I signed the petition some time ago. I keep seeing plugs for term limits, saying how much we need them. I've believed this since before this particular movement started.
What I want to know - what I'd like to see in the posts - is where in the process we ARE. I don't need to be convinced - I need to know what is actually happening. Where are we? What is actually being done, and when?
The "Someday" and "Soon" updates are annoying at best, and completely useless. The plugs for why we need it are so vague as to what is being done that they start to make people view this whole movement as nothing more than whiners.
So please - give us some real updates, with perhaps a schedule (even tentative if you don't have anything solid). But perhaps a real update each month? This would do more to help us than any of the propaganda posts do...

So comments are not read or responded to, and while there's a ton of propaganda being churned out, there aren't any dates that I can find that indicate when these petitions will be sent, or any numbers indicating how many signatures we have or how many more we need in each state.
to me, that turns this whole thing into nothing more than one of those "oh please share this" or "oh please like this" posts.
I'm unfollowing the facebook posts, since there's never any new information.
way to disenchant people, folks.

is this actually being run by the legislators to intentionally make people sick of hearing about it without actually moving forward, so that any real attempts to pass term limits will be met with disdain? that's the effect it's having...

First and foremost, I sincerely apologize that I have not responded sooner. I honestly did not realize this page was live. No excuse, and it will not happen again.

Now, onto your question.

We are actively petitioning in all 50 states (electronically) but are woefully understaffed when it comes to collecting hard copy signatures. We need literally million of signatures, and as of the end of this week we only have 45k signatures (electronic and hard copy combined) for the entire nation.

I do post updates at least once a month, more frequently as I can.

As to a timeline, until we have a solid base of volunteers, we cannot give even a vague idea of how long this process will ultimately take.

It appears you are following our Facebook page. It also appears that you have not been receiving all our posts (as evidenced by the "no updates" comment). You can hover over the "like button" on the National FB page (www.facebook.com/TermLimitsforUSCongress) and click "get notifications" to ensure you see all our posts.

Again, I sincerely apologize for not responding sooner.

it comes back and says there was an error posting every time you click submit, so you click it again - thus the massive number of posts -
great - you might TRY to make it look even less professional, but I don't know if you'll succeed...

I agree wholeheartedly with Mike. I think this movement is excellent and VERY important, but this website is not doing you any favors. Also, don't hang your hat on facebook. A lot of people do not do facebook, believe it or not, and still pursue good websites.

In the start, people doesn’t promote early education because they think children don’t have the sense to think what is wrong and what is right.
