EVERYONE knows they ignore what "we" want, but this video gives a unique insight into why this disconnect exists that most likely you haven't heard before. It's definitely worth watching.

Politicians & Media love to keep us divided. It keeps us too busy fighting each other to accomplish anything. The same goes here. IF we want to add a Term Limits for US Congress Amendment to the US Constitution, we MUST be non-partisan Americans while working on Term Limits. United We Stand...
Petitions have become commonplace and often used as nothing but a means to gather contact information. The result is that most no longer recognize how incredibly powerful they can be when used correctly. Take a minute and watch. The petition signatures are going to long-term be the key to adding a Term Limits for US Congress Amendment to the US Constitution.
Lobbying is our Constitutional Right to approach members of Congress. We definitely don't want to lose that right, but there needs to be some limits. When Corporations, Special Interest Groups, & Foreign Countries are spending over $3.2 BILLION every year lobbying Congress, it has clearly become more "buying" than "lobbying."
Yes, e-petitions do count and are a very powerful tool in reaching those who might otherwise not be accessible. To understand when e-petitions count and when they don't, you first have to understand the difference between a "formal" v "informal" petition and where each applies. This video explains it well.
The key to success is going to be a combination of BOTH e-petitions and hardcopy petitions. EVERY American has the Right to have his/her voice heard on such a monumental issue such as Term Limits for US Congress. Some will prefer signing online. Some will prefer signing a paper. To succeed, we will supply both.
EVERYWHERE you look these days someone has a petition they want you to sign. Some are definitely worth your time and signature. Others are scams looking to get your contact information so they can put you on a donation list or sell your information to others. Take a second and watch the video so you know what to watch for.
In a TRUE grassroots movement, there is not a donor list. There is not funding from a Political Party. There is not funding from Corporations or Special Interest Groups. In a TRUE grassroots movement, there are only Average Americans like you and me. Our budgets are tight, but if we don't each pitch in a little, we fail.
BOTH parties love to point at the other and say, "They don't care about you." Most of us have realized for a long time that the politicians in BOTH parties only care about themselves, their power, and their money. In this video you will see our beliefs weren't just cynicism, but are now proven.
